Energy Efficiency, Digitalisation, and Green Transition Among SiMoD's Strategic Priorities
In his opening address, State Secretary Dr. Črnčec underlined the significance of strategic areas such as energy efficiency, digitalisation, and the green transition, all of which TECES successfully integrates into national and international project activities. “Connecting Slovenian companies and experts to develop technological solutions with high levels of technological readiness, as implemented by TECES within the SiEnE partnership, is key to fostering innovations applicable to civil and defence purposes,” stated Dr. Črnčec.
He also highlighted SiMoD’s plans to provide even greater support for dual-use projects at higher technology readiness levels in the future.
Slovenia Leading the Way in the Greening of European Defence
“Rapid responsiveness and the expertise of Slovenian partners and experts, under the auspices of TECES Partnerships Slovenian Expert Base (SiTEB), together with the active support of SiMoD, demonstrate that we can not only compete with international players but often surpass well-known and established partners,” emphasised Matej Gajzer, Director of TECES and President of SiEnE. In positioning Slovenia as a leader among European countries in the greening of defence, Gajzer recognised Colonel Robert Šipec, Head of the Energy Efficiency and Green Transition Division at SiMoD. “The Slovenian Ministry of Defence is pioneering efforts in the international arena in a field that presents an exceptional opportunity for Slovenian companies and experts to join international defence value and knowledge chains,” added Gajzer.
