Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Maribor employs 240 researchers active in 14 research groups from the fields of Energy engineering, Systems and cybernetics, Computer science and informatics, Electric devices and Metrology.
UM FERI is a member of national Strategic Development and Innovation Partnership (SRIPs), which are responsible for implementation of smart specialization and is active in Vanguard Initiative. In period of last five years UM FERI collaborated in more than 200 European (H2020. HE, Digital Europe, EDF Fund, Interreg, Erasmus +) and national (ARRS, MIZŠ) projects implemented together with SME's. Being actively involved in several Digital Innovation Hubs – as founding member of DIH UM, DIH AGRIFOOD and DIH Slovenia and member of DIH Eastern Slovenia and DIH Smart Manufacturing. With established Center for Artificial Intelligence.
